Seriously i really look forward to what God has instored for me in this new year. I remembered that i just blogged about me having a bad christmas last year, and now, i would say that i had/ have an evenful chinese new year. Since young, i really look forward to Chinese new year (definitely not much about the ang bao and such), but it’s about the together-ness as a family that i’ll experience. Hehe, i started the new year with a goal in mind, that’s to meet the needs of my family so as to be salt and light after receiving the teaching “the ties that bind”. The eve of new year was nice, cos we sat down together and have our “tuan yuan fan”, the food was superb. There’s chilli crab, cereal prawns etc, but i am deprived of my favourite…. STEAMBOAT. (* i love steamboat! partly becos i have it once a year).
CHU YI was all about doing house visitations. All along, i’m always done in the early afternoon. But, this year, i had the longest time spent to bai nian. I met many people and relatives. Those whom i only see once a year! But i really enjoyed the eating, slacking period. *tell you a secret! I was having my period and it was one of the worst time that can happen…
CHU ER as usual, was a day i have to be at home to help in the preparation as the entire of my family clan will come to my house for either dinner or lunch. All was well, except the fact that my fav mug was broken and i just got one on my own! And my mother, eldest brother and my uncle had a big fight. It was a straining thing… Cos it doesn’t just involves personal issues, but religion as well. My uncle just converted to christianity a few years ago and he had a misunderstanding with my family because of the few insensitive comments he made to my brother. And that erupted everything. I told God… “i really tried my best to be salt and light for Him so that my family will be saved somehow, but looking at this incident, it pulled them back to the Kingdom of darkness even more…” No matter what, i will still keep all of them in prayer and pray that they will reconcile somehow. God, you work at your best timing!
CHU SAN, i dropped my handphone and there’s a crack on top of my new phone!
oh Lord, i know you’re stretching me… Remind me that your grace is always more than enough!
